Terms & Conditions

Acceptance, legal age and authority

Your use of this Website and/or our services constitutes your agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or purchase our services.

You must be legally able to enter into the applicable transaction. By submitting an order or payment, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and any accepted project-specific proposal or agreement. If you act for another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Definition of terms

• “Website” means uptownbookpublishing.com and its current Website pages.
• “Customer,” “you,” or “your” means the person or organization using the Website or submitting an order.
• “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Net DropTrading LLC, operating the Uptown Book Publishing brand.
• “Service” or “Product” means the writing, editing, publishing-support, design, marketing, audiobook, author-website or related deliverables stated in an accepted Order.
• “Order” means an accepted proposal, invoice, written scope or other confirmed purchase of services.

Our services and orders

Our Website describes professional book-development, ghostwriting, editing, publishing-support, cover-design, audiobook, author-website and book-marketing services. The exact deliverables, schedule, price, revision allowance and third-party costs for a paid project should be confirmed in writing before or at the time payment is accepted.

Website descriptions are general. A project-specific proposal or agreement controls the actual scope purchased.

Payments, confirmations and scheduling

Orders may be confirmed through an accepted invoice, proposal or other written confirmation and an agreed payment method. Before payment, customers should receive or request clear information about total price/currency, deposit or installment schedule, deliverables, major milestones, revision terms, material third-party costs and cancellation/refund rules.

Work schedules may depend on timely client materials, interviews, approvals, revisions and payments.

Refund and cancellation policy

Refund eligibility depends on the stage of work, the accepted project scope, work already performed, third-party/non-recoverable costs and any project-specific agreement.

Change of mind

If you change your mind immediately after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible. When a cancellation request is made within the first hour and substantive work has not started, we will review the request for a full refund. After work begins, any refund is calculated against documented work already performed and actual non-recoverable costs. Where an administrative/processing deduction applies under the accepted project terms, it will not exceed 40% unless a different lawful project-specific provision was clearly agreed in writing.

Delivery that does not meet documented requirements

If delivered work materially fails to meet documented project requirements, the customer should first use the revision, correction or reassignment remedies available under the project scope. If the issue cannot reasonably be corrected, an appropriate partial or full refund may be reviewed based on the undelivered or unusable portion of the agreed scope.

Late delivery

We aim for on-time delivery. Delays caused by missing client materials/approvals, scope changes, third-party platforms, force majeure or other factors outside our reasonable control are not treated as Company-caused delay. A material Company-caused delay may be reviewed for an appropriate remedy based on the project record.

Refund time frame

Unless a different period is stated in the applicable project agreement or required by law, a refund request relating to delivered work should be made within 120 days of delivery.

Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights that apply by law.

Delivery, revisions and approvals

Revision rights depend on the purchased scope. “Unlimited revisions” should not be interpreted to include unlimited changes of original direction, new deliverables or work outside the agreed scope. Customers are expected to review milestones and provide clear feedback within reasonable time frames.

Client materials and responsibilities

You are responsible for having the right to provide source material, trademarks, images, quotations, private records and other content supplied to us. You are also responsible for final factual verification, permissions, legal review, source approvals and any specialized citation, factual-verification or professional-source requirements not expressly included in the Order.

Academic integrity notice

Uptown Book Publishing provides book-length creative, professional and publishing-related services. We do not write, sell or complete essays, term papers, theses, dissertations, coursework, homework, examination answers, admissions essays or other academic submissions intended to be presented as a student’s own work. We do not assist customers in bypassing school, university or examination rules.

Confidentiality, client ownership and Website intellectual property

Client communications and project materials are intended to remain confidential and will not be intentionally disclosed to unrelated third parties except as reasonably needed to perform the service, comply with law, protect rights or as authorized by the client.

Authorship, work-for-hire and ownership rights for client deliverables are governed by the applicable project agreement. The Uptown Book Publishing Website, logo, branding, layouts, original Website copy, code and site graphics remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

Originality and research

Original ghostwritten content created for a client is intended to be original work rather than copied from another source. Research-based information may rely on outside sources and may require paraphrasing, attribution or citation appropriate to the project. No originality statement excuses plagiarism or infringement supplied by a client.

Third-party platforms and service providers

Publishing, retail, payment, advertising, hosting, live-chat and other third-party platforms operate under their own rules and may change features, pricing, acceptance standards or availability. References to Amazon, Kindle, Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Google Books or other channels identify possible platforms only and do not imply endorsement, certification, exclusive partnership or guaranteed acceptance.

No guaranteed publishing, marketing or sales results

Publishing and marketing outcomes vary. We do not guarantee bestseller status, sales volume, rankings, reviews, awards, media coverage, retailer approval, advertising return or any fixed commercial result. Marketing services are intended to improve positioning, presentation, discoverability or campaign execution; results depend on the book, market, audience, budget, platform behavior and other factors.

Testimonials reflect individual client experiences and do not guarantee that every customer will receive the same outcome. Portfolio items and book covers should only be interpreted as evidence of published work where the relationship and display permission are documented.

Communication and Website inquiry consent

Submitting a Website form authorizes Net DropTrading LLC, operating the Uptown Book Publishing brand, to contact you by telephone and email regarding that inquiry. Optional promotional marketing consent is separate and is not required to submit an inquiry. See our Privacy Policy for the form fields, campaign-attribution data and consent records collected by the Website.

Website information, disclaimers and limitation of liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep Website information current, but general Website content may not reflect every project-specific condition. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on general Website information, third-party platform changes, outages or unauthorized Website misuse. Project-specific warranties and remedies may be governed by the applicable client agreement.
